Esa M. Davis, MD, MPH FAAFP is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the Director of the UPMC Tobacco Treatment Service.
Dr. Davis is a NIH funded researcher and a board-certified practicing Family Physician with over 20 years of clinical expertise in the acute and chronic management of adults and children.
Dr. Davis went to UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, and completed her residency in family medicine at Overlook Hospital, NJ. She completed her postdoctoral research training as a Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Clinical Scholar and a National Research Service Award Fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. She earned her Masters of Public Health Degree from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. She serves on the national American Heart Association Research committee and is a Board Member of the Greater Pittsburgh Affiliate American Heart Association. She belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Board of Family Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, and Gateway Medical Society.
She is married to Dr Darrell Rubin, a Cardiologist and has two young children.
