Sharice Nance

Sharise Nance is fascinated by the human mind, human potential, the impact relationships and environments have on one’s life and the change process.   Mrs. Nance (also known as the Compassion Fatigue Lady) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Compassion Fatigue Specialist, Adjunct Professor, Award Winning Entrepreneur and Author.  She is the co-owner and founder of HandinHand Counseling Services, LLC and has 20 years of experience assisting individuals, couples and families see beyond energy depletion, hopelessness, panic, guilt and feeling overwhelmed and assists them in making a shift to a place of life satisfaction, joy, clarity and fulfillment.  Sharise also dedicates her efforts to running Vitamin C Healing, an organization designed to promote life balance, satisfaction and fulfillment among those throughout the helping profession and beyond.

With considerable experience speaking at keynotes, workshops, and seminars for young professionals, helping professionals, caregivers, entrepreneurs, women, parents, and adolescents across the country; she strives to equip individuals with the tools to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout in order to live happy, fulfilled lives and careers. With her depth of experience from nearly two decades working with a diverse population of people from all walks of life, Sharise is eager to share all that she’s learned.

Sharise has been featured in the 2020 Pittsburgh Magazine’s segment of Women & Business, on the front cover of the 2019 Women’s Independent Press Yellow Pages of Pittsburgh, the New Pittsburgh Courier, The New Social Work Magazine, quoted in Twinkl magazine discussing Managing Workplace Anxiety, and highlighted by NAMI (National Association for Mental Illness) for black history month as a voice of African Americans in the Pennsylvania community.  Sharise is the recipient of the New Pittsburgh Courier Class of 2019 Fab 40 under 40 award,  University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work’s 2019 Outstanding Alumni Award in Direct Practice, 2019 Inspiring Lives Magazine Women In Business Award, 2018 Onyx Women in Leadership award, 2018 Business Leader recognition by the House of PA representatives, 2018 Professional Women’s Network Ladies Who Lead award.  Sharise enjoys traveling, trying new foods, comedy movies, reading and exercising.  She resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband William Nance.
